Take College Classes Online with Straighter Line

Every parent in America knows that public education is failing.  Budgets are soaring, while graduation rates and test scores continue to decline.  It is for this reason that many are opting to handle the education of their children on their own.  Homeschooling is on the rise, and for good reason!  According to multiple studies, children who are homeschooled have higher scores on standardized tests, higher grade-point averages, and higher graduation rates than traditionally-educated students.

But homeschooling is not easy. It requires an enormous commitment of time and energy.  Most parents who decide to homeschool their children must, in effect, go back to school.  They must learn or relearn the subjects they will teach their kids. A home teacher must be a jack of all trades or a factotum, he or she must be a master of multiple subjects.  But what happens when a homeschooler have no facility for or love of a certain subject?  This typically happens with more advanced subjects, especially mathematical ones.

How Straighter Line Can Help

Not even Aristotle was a master of every pedagogical subject. It stands to reason then that modern parents who decide to homeschool their kids might need help. If your child is taking college-level courses, and many homeschooled kids do, it may be a good idea to contact a professional educator. Straighter Line offers online calculus courses and online chemistry courses that have been evaluated and recommended by the American Council on Education’s College Credit Recommendations Services (ACE CREDIT).

The programs and courses Straighter Line offers are not only versatile, they are also affordable. For as little as 99 dollars per month, students can take as many three and four-credit colleges courses as they like.  High school students who complete their online calculus courses have been awarded college credits for AP calculus exams.  The same could be said for their online chemistry courses.

Learning online is not only affordable, it is also effective.  Students who pass an online chemistry course can transfer their credits to hundreds of colleges and universities.  Not to mention the fact that these courses can help any child who learns at home to master a subject his teacher (parent) is not particularly fond of.
