Is Physics 101 a Required Course for the Certificate or Degree You Want to Pursue?
If you already know which certificate or degree you want to earn, check the courses and credits you’ll need to take in order to meet the requirements of the program. If you’re not sure of your major yet, you can figure that you’ll probably need to take a basic physics class for any type of engineering, architectural, mechanical engineering, applied math or applied science degree.
Is Physics 101 a Prerequisite for Courses You Want to Take?
Many advanced classes in applied science and applied math require that you take a basic college physics class first. If that’s the case, you can learn all the basic principles of physics in an online college physics course, and generally pay far less than you’d have to pay for the same class on campus. If you’d rather get past the basics before you enroll so that you can earn your degree sooner, an online college physics class makes a lot of sense.
Will the Credits for an Online College Physics Course Transfer?
Don’t just assume that the online credits you earn will count toward you degree requirements. Most accredited colleges, universities and community colleges have specific requirements with regard to the credits they’ll accept. Check with the program you’re considering to learn if they have partnerships or agreements in place with the colleges you want to attend before you sign up for an online college physics course.
If all of those things check out, an online college physics course could be your best and least expensive option for earning those required college credits.
